In 1911,Albert De Stordeur founded a maize proccesing plant "Usines De Stordeur" next to the canal in Leuven.
The De Stordeur familie sold the factory at the end of the thirties.
After the second world war the factory had its peak.
There were 300 people in service between 1965 and 1970
In 1975, the company went bankrupt and changed regulated of owner in the years afterwards...
At the end of the eighties only 20 people were still working at the factory.
In 1993, Usines De Stordeur ceased all activities.
